Don Haas THEORY PAGE

Thursday, February 15, 2001 HAAS, Donald Lee -- Gifted artist and inspired jazz pianist Don Haas, born February 2, 1936, died at his home, February 12, 2001. A revered musician, dedicated teacher and 'gentle man,' he performed and recorded with acclaimed musicians such as Benny Goodman, Willie Nelson, Sammy Davis Jr., the Hi-Lo's and many Bay Area professionals.

A tribute and celebration of Don's life was held at Bach Dancing and Dynamite Society, 311 Mirada Rd., Miramar, CA on Sat. Feb. 17 at noon.

Don Haas was one of the greatest teachers I have ever had. In memory of Don I'd like to share some of his ideas.
