Drop 2 Voicings and inversions of Major 7th chords on 3 different sets of 4 strings

Inversions of the four different 7th chords on the 3 different sets of 4 strings

Now that you have the inversions of a Major 7th, you can create the other qualities of 7th chords by lowering the different chord tones one half step or one fret.

Dominate 7th (b7)
Minor 7th (b3, b7)
Minor 7b5 (b3, b5, b7)

Inversions on string set 4, 3, 2, 1

String set 4 3 2 1. Root position, 3rd in the lead (top) voice and root in the lowest voice.
These are all on the 3rd fret.

String set 4 3 2 1. First inversion, 5th in the lead (top) voice and 3rd in the lowest voice.
These are all on the 6th fret.

Sting set 4 3 2 1. Second inversion, 7th in the lead and 5th in the lowest voice.
FMaj7 and F7 are on the 10th fret, and Fm7 and Fm7b5 are on the 9th fret.

String set 4 3 2 1. Third inversion, root in the lead and 7th in the lowest voice.
These are all on the 1st fret.

Inversions on string set 5, 4, 3, 2

String set 5 4 3 2. Root position, 3rd in the lead (top) voice and root in the lowest voice.
These are all on the 3rd fret.

Sting set 5 4 3 2. Frist inversion, 5th in the lead and 3rd in the lowest voice.
These are all on the 5th fret.

Sting set 5 4 3 2. Second inversion, 7th in the lead and 5th in the lowest voice.
CMaj7 and C7 are on the 9th fret, and Cm7 and Cm7b5 are on the 8th fret.

String set 5 4 3 2. Third inversion, root in the lead and 7th in the lowest voice.
CMaj7, C7, Cm7 are all on the 12st fret, and Cm7b5 is on the 11th fret.
